My son wants to play with Barbies?
When I was younger I enjoyed Barbies an now my son sees them in the house, I still have some from when I was younger, and he likes playing with them.
[ I know this question leaves room for rude replies, so please control yourselves]
Should I try to stop him and introduce manly toys like cars to him or let him play?
He is two.
Awesome! Let him go for it! Give him both cars and dolls, who says he can’t have both?
When I was growing up my brother and I were 13 months apart. We played with my barbies, and yes he did dress them up and everything, and then we would play with his tool sets and cars. We always played with both of our toys.
It didn’t do anything weird to us, a lot of parents say it does, but he’s pretty manly lol and I’m still a girl!
I personally think it’s best to introduce a child to whatever they are interested in, as long as it’s safe and healthy! Their job as children is to explore their curiosity!

My daughter is 20 months old and I buy her both “boy” toys and “girl” toys and without my influence most days she just prefers her girl toys and sometimes she will play with her boy toys. It’s cool. I think I’m helping her be more well rounded
